My daughter has finished school, yet I recently contemplated the subjects offered by our education system and their relevance to the community. This moment of deep thought was inspired by a Facebook meme that pointed out how it would be nice if the same amount of time was spent teaching people to communicate with Autistic children as is spent on teaching Autistic children how to share with the rest of the world.
In my previous life, I was deeply involved in the self-awareness and personal development industry. I worked with executives and their employees to turn around morale both individually and as an organisation to increase productivity and profits. I loved it.

I have a confession to make. I am one of ‘those’ people who let the Aussie reputations down when it comes to sports. Despite being a true-blue Aussie, I have never had any interest in sport of any kind. I don’t like to watch it. I don’t want to play it. I don’t care who wins.
Few things annoy me more than drivers who simply cannot reverse park smoothly yet insist on doing so. They seem oblivious to the challenges they cause other drivers, let alone the accidents that would occur if other drivers weren’t trying to guess and navigate around them.
